This audiovisual performance explores the fragmented psyche of migration, where individuals exist in dual realities, torn between past and present. Using immersive soundscapes, glitch art, and generative visuals, it reflects the continuous reconstruction of memory and identity, rejecting nostalgia for a forward motion. The piece critiques the voyeuristic consumption of refugee narratives, embracing ambiguity and multiplicity. It is a self-aware experience that confronts the complexities of displacement, embodying rupture, reformation, and resistance. By integrating live coding and digital art, the performance challenges linear storytelling, urging audiences to participate in the ongoing renegotiation of"home" in a shifting world.The sound performance and visual installation"Tunnel to Damascus" was presented at Vorspiel program / CTM festival in Berlin and Documenta 15 in Kassel.

TO BUILD A STAGE chronicles the endeavours of the C1 Collective, a group of Syrian artists and DJs based in Berlin, as they embark on a remarkable mission to establish a platform that challenges the conventional notions of integration into German society. Through the power of music and visual art, they craft a unique and personal message, aiming to redefine the landscape of the local underground scene. This captivating film offers an intimate portrayal of the collective, revealing their unbreakable bond and sense of belonging despite living in exile. This project explores the lingering effects of displacement, trauma, and survival through a multidisciplinary lens. This project combines field recordings, soundscapes, and visual art to portray the fragmented memories and histories of war-torn regions. Utilising experimental sound techniques and documentary-style storytelling, the work invites reflection on how conflict shapes identity and collective memory. Through immersive installations and performances, the project creates an evocative narrative of resilience, challenging perceptions of survival in the context of political and geographical boundaries.
